Bustin’ Out
Did For You
Wake up in the morning I’m here alone you’re at my place
Come home in the evening nowhere to be found you’ve gone awayWhat I don’t understand when I’m not around
You’re telling everyone how you’re so let down
You make believe the situation I try to make some sense of it all
You’re never at homeYou know I try to understand but I believe the opposite of everything you tell me
I don’t have a reason here
Now why should I believe what I already knows a lie
I know whatever I did wrong I did for you
I did for youWhen it comes to conversation
You want no part cause it’s my way
When it comes to condescension
You know that you’re driving me insaneWere you pining for attention? How much did you want?
Were you tryin’ to make me be something I’m not?
You make believe the situation I try to make some sense of it all
You’re never at homeYou know I try to understand but I believe the opposite of everything you tell me
I don’t have a reason here
Now why should I believe what I already knows a lie
I know whatever I did wrong I did for you
I did for youWhat i said goes in your head goes in one ear and out again
What you said I won’t forget till you regret those things you said
Now i’m gone, gone, gone, goneYou know I try to understand but I believe the opposite of everything you tell me
I don’t have a reason here
Now why should I believe what I already knows a lie
Why should I believe what I already knows a lie
Why should I believe what I already knows a lie
I know whatever I did wrong
I did for you I did for you I did for youI know whatever I did wrong
Nova
Spit fire and save the matches, nova
Spit fire and save the matches, nova
Up in the valley
Down on the hill
Drinking to forget her
But you know you never will
Nova, nova, novaDriving hard
Driving fast
She Runs like the devil
Build for speed but not to last
Nova, nova, novaSpit fire and save the matches, nova
Spit fire and save the matches, nova
Over to the city
Sleepy Sunday drive
She got them cruel intentions
and a loaded 45Driving hard
Driving fast
She runs like the devil
Build for speed but not to last
Nova, nova, novaBustin' Out
Ninety five cents in my pocket again
Driving round town with my new friends.
Couldn’t help but notice
What’s on the radio
Never heard a song and felt so alone
Guess I”m gonna go my third round again
Third time around again and I don’t know this songYou want it you need it
To see your name in lights
This silence it’s killing
It’s time we busted outBack in the old car
The speaker’s burning
The fire is burning hard again
Torn between two
Times I wonder
How I’ll wander back againYou want it you need it
To see your name in lights
This silence it;s killing
It’s time we busted outFebruary Morning
February morning
Teardrops clouding up my view
Arriving five weeks early
Meager tangled up and blueWe’re both the same
We both became
The next one overPlease son do better than I’ve done before you
My road’s bent another way
Please know a better day’s in store for you I know
When you’re a man somedayYou seem to find you’re learning
Fumbling the way I do
Tune your ear to wisdom
Turn your heart and follow trueI know you’ll fall
That’s how you know
I’ve been tryingPlease son do better than I’ve done before you
My road’s bent another way
Please know a better day’s in store for you I know
When you’re a man somedayI’ve seen you grow
I made you wonder
Please hear the words
They’ll make you strongerPlease son do better than I’ve done before you
My road’s bent another way
Please know a better day’s in store for you I know
When you’re a man somedayBarricades
Dawn breaks on a day that slips away
You drive off in a haze and all the
Thoughts fade to gray
It’s unfolding all the same
By the choices that you’ve made
But you blame it all on fateAt the slightest touch you turn away
You show your back to those reaching in
You’ve wrapped yourself in barricades
Of course the quiet is deafeningYou stand alone in this crowded place
With sadness tinged mask of strength
That’s meant to hide, hide away
The subtle coward too afraid to face
The idle hours of all those days that
You’re content to let drift awayAt the slightest touch you turn away
You show your back to those reaching in
You’ve wrapped yourself in barricades
Of course the quiet is deafening
You’ve wrapped yourself in barricades
Of course the quiet is deafeningJust Wait
You don’t know what to say
So you say nothing
The daylight bathes your face
Won’t you feel something
If you turn away you won’t see
That door creep openDon’t walk away just yet
Don’t walk away this timeJust wait, it’s not easy
Just stay, it’s not over nowHave you been gone so long
You’ve been forgotten?
You’re not the only one
Who’s missing something
Did you think you’d fade away
Like you meant nothingDon’t walk away just yet
Don’t walk away this timeJust wait, it’s not easy
Just stay, it’s not over nowCrusader
Some may say we’re better of divided
Some may say we’re already done
I believe there’s reason to be excited
I believe that we will overcomeCause we’re fighting for the future
And we don’t forget the past
Stronger when w’ere together
We will fight till the lastSomeone whispered something from the bible
Someone said a silent solemn prayer
I can feel it pulsing through the water
I can hear it ringing in the airFighting for the future
We don’t forget the past
Stronger when we’re together
We will fight till the lastSomeone whispered something from the bible
Someone said a silent solemn prayer
Now we feel it pulsing through the water
And now we hear it ringing in the air
Some may say we’re better of divided
Some may say we’re already done
I believe there’s reason to be excited
And I believe that we shall overcomeFighting for the future
We don’t forget the past
Stronger when we’re together
We will fight till the lastClay Pigeons
Cracked dirt calls your name
A parched earth cries for rain
Dust swirls around your face
The dry lands stretch far away
Your hands shape lifeless clay
And they say “No, not today”Clap your hands
Let them fly
From the mud they rise
Clap your hands
Lead us far awayCarve them out, set them free
Exhale rouse them from their sleep
Break them loose from earth’s embrace
Breath out and fill their wingsClap your hands
Let them fly
From the mud they rise
Clap your hands
Lead us far awayWhen darkness falls and hope snuffed out
Rend the sky and let the rains pour down
Let the waters all stream out
Wash the dirt awayClap your hands
Lift me upClap your hands
Let them fly
From the mud they rise
Clap your hands
Lead us far awayBetter Now
It’s so good to see you gain
I was wondering where have you been
It’s been too long since we were together nowThe time’s flown since I can’t say when
You checked out, found yourself again
But the past never lasts and I’m glad that we’re better nowOh if you could know what I’ve been doing here on my own
Walking this strange road and now I’m feeling right at homeIt’s so good to see my friend
I was wondering what happened to him
I thought I would ask since we’re all better nowI heard that he took off when
You said how much you loved him
It’s just too bad you’re not together nowOh if you could know what I’ve been doing here on my own
Walking this strange road and now I’m feeling right at homeI’m so glad that we can be friends
So the next time you’re alone here again
I’ll say “There, there, I’m sure it will heal somehow”
I’ll say “So long, but I’m glad that we’re better now”Back Again
The last goodbye is looming now
The sun is going down
But we can’t go back againWe try to stave it off somehow
And we’re just stalling now
But we can’t go back againNow I’m bracing for goodbye
The moon is on the rise
And the tears are in our eyes
Now that we’ve run out of time
You’ll be fondly on my mind
But we can’t go back againTomorrow you’ll be moving out
And this is the last round
But we can’t go back againWe talk of nights on the town
And we’re both smiling now
But we can’t go back againNow I’m bracing for goodbye
The moon is on the rise
And the tears are in our eyes
Now that we’ve run out of time
You’ll be fondly on my mind
Cause you won’t be back againNow I’m bracing for goodbye
The moon is on the rise
And the tears are in our eyes
Now that we’ve run out of time
You’ll be fondly on my mind
Cause you won’t be back againLive in Me
A fine day the city hums away
The sounds on the breeze have no trace of you today
I wait in this place
Where you grinned and waved goodbye
Please stayThe echo of your footsteps fades away
And I know that these quiet streets won’t feel your feet again
Without you now I thought I thought this view might change
But even though these clouds roll by the sun sets just the same
You live in meA fine day
You’re ringing in my head
And I know that I’ll nowhere
Nowhere hear your laugh and nowhere feel your tears again
Let me find you in this place
Please stayThe echo of your footsteps fades away
And I know that these quiet streets won’t feel your feet again
Without you now I thought I thought this view might change
But even though these clouds roll by the sun sets just the same
You live in meYou live in me
You live in me
You live in me

Wide Awake EP
The Long Sleep
The sun streams through quiet trees
On heavy lids through the green leaves
The wind sighs and the river purrs
On stiffened limbs the sleeper stirs
On a cobwebbed bed in the tranquil glen
He shrugs off sleep and will rise againHe’s wide awake he’s wide awake
Wide awake he’s wide awakeHe stumbles through hills at dawn
Towards lost years and friends passed on
The eagle calls in cloudless skies
A king did fall and a father rise
With quickening steps through the path he spies
A New World new through rested eyesHe’s wide awake he’s wide awake
Wide awake he’s wide awakeJennie
Hey now I know we just got started
I know you and I just met
They say he left you broken hearted
I’d say the best is to come yetDo you feel what I’m feeling tonight
Do you believe in love at first sight
The Berkeley lights they shine so brightYou can’t explain away what we do
You kept me up awake until two
If you ever wonder if I want your number
Don’t you know that Jennie I doHey now this evening’s getting later
I know you know what’s on my mind
I say we take it even later
I say we take this thing outsideDo you feel what I’m feeling tonight
Do you believe in love at first sight
The Berkeley lights they shine so brightYou can’t explain away what we do
You kept me up awake until two
If you ever wonder if I want your number
Don’t you know that Jennie I doI do, I do, I do
Don’t you know that Jennie I do
This Fire
The weight of your hands
The weight that’s pressing down on me
Your silence in my head
I’m drifting this evening
The waves they hammer down on me
But you feel so far awayAnd if I call out your name
Would you hear and turn your head
Would you just leave me here? This fire, this fire it burns tonight
If I called out now would I reach the shore?Could I believe you?
Believe the things I wished you’d say.
Just the voice inside my head
Had hope for the morning
Hope your dawn would break on me
Just to feel it fall awayAnd if I call out your name
Would you hear and turn your head
Would you just leave me here? This fire, this fire it burns tonight
If I called out now would I reach the shore?I press on in darkness
Blindly stumble on my way
And breathe you in the air
Will I ever see you
In the broken light of day
Turn to find you there?Hey Ya Wanna
I hear hand grenades and bullets flying
My heart I can feel it slowly dying
For you can you hear the mountains crying
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heyTonight what’s the point in even trying
My heart loves you and theirs no denying
For you can you hear the mountains crying
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heyDo ya wanna hey ya wanna
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heySun dies moon is up and night is falling
You move, hoping I can call you darling
For you, can you hear the mountain calling
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heyHanging around worn beat down
It’s alright
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heySometimes wonder if you even hear me
Right now happy that you’re even near me
Tonight can you hear the mountain singing
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heyHanging around worn beat down
It’s alrightDo ya wanna hey ya wanna hey
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna
Do ya wanna hey ya wanna heyAllyson
You left me long before you were gone
You closed your heart
It was nothing that you said to me
I could see it in your eyes and II was holding on to something not worth holding
And I don’t understand why you’d want to leave me againWhat’s the point, Allyson?
You threw us away
What’s the point, Allyson?
I won’t stand in your way
Through the years we’ve stood together, but now I’ll stand aside
For you AllysonYou left me drunk again I was so blind
I could barely see
What was right there in front of me.
And then the scales fell from my eyesI was holding on to something not worth holding
And I don’t understand why you’d want to leave me againWhat’s the point, Allyson?
You threw us away
What’s the point, Allyson?
I won’t stand in your way
Through the years we’ve stood together
Now I’ll stand aside
For you AllysonLight
It’s darkening out and quiet now
The fire is dying down
Echoes of laughter fade
And we sift through
The silent ash beneath our feet
We’re left to wonder how it went so farIs there light? Is there time?
To set our world to right
It’s late tonight, can we find a way
To make it all alrightIs it too late now for this burned out house
The shattered walls and splinters in our minds
Memories fall to the ground
Should we gather and start again?
Or should we let the embers burn
And let a dead world die?Is there light? Is there time?
To set our world to right
It’s late tonight, can we find a way
To make it all alrightIs there light?
Is there time?

Fold Out Couch EP
Fold Out Couch
As I lay here quiet on this fold out couch
I wonder if I’ll ever see her again
She’s the one she made me stunned
She brought me down to earth
And then she knocked me right back up againI had the most wonderful day
Everything is going my way‘Cause I love her
But i don’t even know her
I can see her
Wanna remember just a smile
And I need her
To spend the rest of my life with
We’re just five minutes old
But I don’t mindStill I lay here quiet on this fold out couch
Im wondering if she’s thinking the same
I’d love to stay another day but my plane is going
And I don’t know if she’s headed my wayI’m so glad I can finally say
Everything is going my way‘Cause I love her
But i don’t even know her
I can see her
Wanna remember just a smile
And I need her
To spend the rest of my life with
We’re just five minutes old
Well our love is five minutes old
Just enough time for the intoxication to take hold‘Cause I love her
But i don’t even know her
I can see her
Wanna remember just a smile
And I need her
To spend the rest of my life with
We’re just five minutes old
And I don’t mindIt’s Been Five Minutes
It’s been five minutes I’ve been waiting for you
To arise and in your eyes the light is shining through
These things I’m waiting on much bigger than rest
Seize the moment for a while you’ll lay here on my chestLet’s make this last all day
All tangled up, I will sayYour eyes consume me
Your eyes surround me
Why don’t we stay?
We could play like yesterdayFor a while can we go back to the start
Talking low moving slow we’ll move two beating hearts
Toss your hair again moving so close
Say let’s wait for a while let’s put them all on holdLet’s make this last all day
All tangled up, I will sayYour eyes consume me
Your eyes surround me
Why don’t we stay?
We could play like yesterdayJanice
Sets her jaw and pretends as she turns all the lights on
One more moment alone before it all starts again
How much longer until the knock from the doorway
Until it comes and she swallows her hatred againAnd she says
And she saysClose your eyes and take a deep breath
Hold on to yourself for one more day
Close your eyes and dream your somewhere
Where the water is warm and the sun’s overheadThe door opens he grins and shows the next caller
Shuffles close flicks his eyes but she won’t look away
She locks eyes and makes sure that he knows it
He’s just another means that she tosses awayAnd she says
And she saysClose your eyes and take a deep breath
Hold on to yourself for one more day
Close your eyes and dream your somewhere
Where the water is warm and the sun’s overheadBarricades
Dawn breaks on a day that slips away

Washed away like sands to the oceans
I heard it said but I don’t remember why I came
Here instead
It’s life that picks you up and pulls away againAnd I wish that I was there and not so far away
I count the hours till I come home
And you wrap me in your curl
And I’ll feel whole again
I’ll come back
Come back
Home againHere today and gone by tomorrow
I say a prayer that the two of us will never part
Ways again
And once I’m gone I’ll never leave your side againAnd I wish that I was there and not so far away
I count the hours till I come home
And you wrap me in your curl
And I’ll feel whole again
I’ll come back home
Come back home
Come back
I shouldn’t have walked away

Beemo EP
She Don't Run
She said she wonders what matters now
Still longs for something that’s over now
And she’s wondering where to go
CCR on the stereoAnd she don’t have reason to believe
That she won’t be speeding toward reliefYeah, she don’t run anymore
Now that it’s over now
She don’t run anymore
Now that she’s been and gone
And her head is on the floorIt’s like she’s living in Babylon
Going along just to get along
Undercover there’s something wrong
Now it’s time to be moving onAnd she don’t have reason to believe
That she won’t be speeding toward reliefYeah, she don’t run anymore
Now that it’s over now
She don’t run anymore
Now that she’s been and gone
And her head is on the floorCan’t afford to buy herself a ride
Gonna keep on pushing across state lines
Move on move up move up roll out
Gonna find it out what it’s all about
Yeah she’s running nowYeah, she don’t run anymore
Now that it’s over now
She don’t run anymore
Now that she’s been and gone

Darkness hangs upon the street lights
Blessed sleep alights on all but you tonight
The shadows sting your eyes
You hear the train go by
And why?The memories start to fade
You start to drift away
But your mind wants to stay
And deeper sinks the blade
Your thoughts they start to race
Your walls start to quake
And you simply lie away
And deeper sinks the bladeHow did it get so late?
Trapped with all you’ve known
In this sleeping world alone
Your head aches and turns and spins
You hear the silence ring
AgainThe memories start to fade
You start to drift away
But your mind wants to stay

Your thoughts they start to race
Your walls start to quake
And you simply lie away

Take me away come take me home
Wanna go wanna go wanna go wanna go
I’ve had enough, bring me no more
Take me homeI’m here right now until then
Wanna leave can I leave can it quietly end?
I’m at my limit, leave me alone
Take me homeIt’s not my time, oh why
All this time
If I had my way, I’d be with youIt’s not my own to decide
Wanna leave gotta live, find a way to reside
I’m so unsure now, leave alone
Take me home

MacGregor’s Revenge
The lad reached the river at the height of the flood
He searched for a crossing in vain
When the black steed appeared, a bit in its mouth
And the water dripped from its maneIt beckoned him on with a toss of its heard
And hid its ravenous eyes
He knew not why he climbed on its back
And it ran to the deepening tideHe hollered and he cried
Stuck fast to the demon’s hide
Till the water was up to his eyesMacGregor was walking and heard the boy call
Too late he arrived on the shore
There was just bits of the lad washed up on the bank
And the water’s deafening roarMacGregor went down to the river each night
He prayed to protect him from harm
He lay in wait, a cross round his neck
And a dagger tucked under his armMacGregor swore revenge
On the demon horse’s head
That it won’t go a-drowning againOne night from behind him he heard a horse neigh
He turned and prepared for his doom
Felt a chill down his spine when he saw the black steed
Trotting out of the gloomHe felt it calling him and he reached out
He took a step toward it in dread
He summoned his will and drew out his knife
Cut the bridle clean off of its headIt bellowed and it cried
And the color went from its hide
And the fury blazed in its eyesMacGregor swore revenge
On the demon horse’s head
That it won’t go drowning againHe snatched up the bridle and turned on his heels
A voice from behind him did cry
“Return it to me or by my soul
In a day I will wither and die”MacGregor went running toward his abode
With hoofbeats behind the whole way
He ducked inside while the cross on the doorKept the foul demon at bay
It hollered and it cried
While MacGregor hid inside
And the next day it withered and diedMacGregor swore revenge
On the demon horse’s head
That it won’t go drowning againBack Seat Down
It’s hard to get moving when you don’t know where you’re going
Motivation’s lacking when you’re standing still
I don’t want to find out when you’re out there on the highway
Saying what I want to hear right now, saying what I want to hearTurn the back seat down
Turn the back seat down
There’s no one aroundI don’t remember why you called me in the first place
I don’t remember why I even picked up the phone
Must have known that I would still respect you in the morning
Saying what I want to hear right now, saying what I want to hearTurn the back seat down
Turn the back seat down
There’s no one aroundHeels up on the dashboard as you motion over to me
I pull over and I put my fear on hold
The way your eyes see through me as they shimmer in the moonlight
Saying what I want to hear right now, saying what I want to hearTurn the back seat down
Turn the back seat down
